We can design, supply, install and commission heat pump systems using a variety of energy collection methods including: horizontal slinky, vertical closed loop boreholes, open loop wells, pond loops and energy piles or thermopiles. We can carry out trial boreholes, thermal conductivity testing and thermal response testing where appropriate. We provide a full design service for heat pump systems including open and closed loop ground collectors. Our in-house capabilities include assessments for SAP, SBEM, BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes.
We are members of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA) and the Renewable Energy Association (REA). We are certified heat pump installers under Microgeneration Certification Standard (MCS). "MGS geothermal supplies the 'out of building' part of geothermal (ground source heat) installation - a specialist range to enable contractors, particularly within the drilling industry, to take full advantage of this growing market.
MGS's range of geothermal pipes are manufactured from polyethylene (PE100 to DIN 8074/5 standard) for heat recovery through enclosed vertical or horizontal pipe systems. Coils and probes are factory assembled and pressure-tested.
A range of accessories such as spacers, pipe connectors, weights, electro-fusion and compression fittings and manifolds is also available.
