UniRoss Rechargeable Batteries
Pictured above are the
AA (2,100 mAh),
AAA (800 mAh), and
9 Volt (200 mAh)
Longlife Hybrio rechargeable batteries from UniRoss. These batteries are designed to be recharged up to 1,000 times, and a UniRoss commissioned study has shown that their rechargeable batteries have up to
32 times less environmental impact than disposable batteries.
The cardboard packaging used is
100% recycled and
100% recyclable.
From the same range are also available
C and
D sized cells, however we would not recommend these. In both cases the battery capacity is
2,100 mAh - i.e.
exactly the same as that of the far smaller AA cells. This is because UniRoss (like many other manufacturers) choose to make C and D cells simply by padding out their AA cells with additional material (and then charge twice as much for them!).

UniRoss Battery Chargers
Pictured above are three of the most popular
battery chargers from the UniRoss range. From left to right there is the
Compact Charger, the
Fast Charger, and the
Smart Charger.
* The
Compact Charger is supplied with four 1,600 mAh AA NiMH batteries, and can charge either two or four AA or AAA batteries at a time in 7-24 hours.
* The
Fast Charger will charge two or four AA or AAA batteries at a time in as little as
one hour. A car cigar lighter plug is provided so that batteries can be recharged on the move.
* The
Smart Charger will charge two or four AA or AAA batteries at a time in as little as
three hours, is also provided with in-car charging. A pack of four of the
Longlife Hybrio 2,100 mAh AA rechargeables is included in this package.
