Scottish and Southern Energy. Their new
Solar Energyplus tariff offers grid-tied
photovoltaic solar system owners a market leading
18 pence / kWh export tariff. It is aimed at small businesses and households.
Solar Energyplus
Scottish and Southern Energy will pay to install
export meters, obtain
ROC accreditation, and act as
ROC agents for owners of solar energy systems. At 18p per kWh exported, a system generating 1500kWh per year (equivalent to half the UK average for household energy consumption) will earn £135 per year if exporting 50% of power generated.
