Scottish and Southern Energy will pay to install export meters, obtain ROC accreditation, and act as ROC agents for owners of solar energy systems. At 18p per kWh exported, a system generating 1500kWh per year (equivalent to half the UK average for household energy consumption) will earn £135 per year if exporting 50% of power generated.
